Your email provider matters less than you may think
Many business mailboxes use standard IMAP/SMTP even when the user only knows the provider name. Nilyo supports compatible providers such as iCloud Mail, Zoho Mail, Yahoo Mail, OVHcloud, IONOS, Infomaniak, Fastmail and GMX, with authentication requirements varying by provider.
Useful email work is contextual
The agent can work with supported folders, messages, threads and attachments, then combine that context with another connected account when useful.
“Find the latest invoice from my hosting provider.”
“Summarize the email thread with Sarah before I answer her on LinkedIn.”
“Show unread messages that contain a question for me.”
A mailbox is better treated as structured data than a web page
Folders contain messages; messages belong to threads and expose attachments and reply identifiers. Keeping those relationships explicit makes retrieval and follow-up more predictable than navigating a webmail UI visually.
Common questions
What if I do not know whether my email uses IMAP?
That is common. Start with the email provider. Nilyo can offer dedicated Gmail/Microsoft connections or a compatible generic email setup.
Can I connect an email on my own domain?
Yes when the underlying mail host provides compatible authentication and IMAP/SMTP access.
