Define what “unanswered” means
A recent inbound message is not always a task. Ask the agent to look for direct questions, explicit requests, commitments you made or conversations where the latest meaningful turn came from the other person.
Show the reason, not just a list
For each surfaced conversation, the useful output is why it may need attention and the relevant context — not an unexplained ranking of names.
“Which LinkedIn conversations contain a direct question I have not answered?”
“Find conversations where I promised to follow up.”
“Show the five threads that most clearly need a response, but do not send anything.”
Triage first, draft second
Once you choose a conversation, the agent can read the relevant history and prepare a draft. Inbox triage should not automatically become outbound messaging.
